We are delighted to welcome Will Lyons to Cambridge on Sunday 15th May.

Will Lyons is an award winning wine writer and broadcaster and is a wine columnist for The Sunday Times and The Wall Street Journal. He has worked at Lea and Sandemann, as a fine wine advisor at Berry Bros and Rudd, and is one of the most influential wine critics of his generation. He is also no stranger to the Varsity competition: he is the Edinburgh Judge for the Edinburgh v St. Andrews Varsity match that determines the Scottish participant in the Pol Roger European Varsity Competition in Champagne, and he was one of the judges for the last Pol Roger European Varsity Competition in Champagne. He also co-authored a book about the varsity match called “Reds, Whites & Varsity Blues: 60 Years of the Oxford & Cambridge Blind Wine-Tasting Competition”.

As usual, the tasting will feature 6 white wines and 6 red wines.

Please bring your own set of 6 ISO tasting glasses. Glasses are available to buy here.

Time: 7.30pm (Please arrive at 7.20pm so we can start pouring at 7.30pm!)
Where: Little St Mary’s Church Parish Hall, Trumpington Street

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday 11th May at 6pm, until Friday 13th May at 6pm. Each person can buy a maximum of two tickets; further tickets bought by the same person will be refunded.
