A Deep Dive into Bordeaux with Henrique Marçon

Join us for a very special session as we explore one of the most famous wine regions: Bordeaux! The session will be led by Henrique Marçon, president and captain of CUBWTS, as he guides you through everything to know about the rich culture of this special region, from the grapes used to the huge variation between vintages. Here you will taste (and learn) how each these factors combine into making some of the most famous wines in the World.

You will taste 12 wines (9 reds and 3 sweets) including some top-notch Grands Crus Classés 1855, and some hard-to-find and delicious-to-drink wines, so it would be a pity not to savour these wines a bit. This will be an intimate evening with very limited numbers.

Reflecting the higher underlying pricing of the wonderful wines that we serve the total price is £32 – still an excellent deal for the wines on offer.

We ask that you please aim to arrive 10-15 minutes before the session begins so that we can begin pouring immediately.

Please bring your own set of 6 ISO tasting glasses. Glasses are available to buy here.

Refund policy: Please note that, as of 2025, we are no longer issuing refunds. This decision was made in an effort to reduce our operating costs and the administrative burden on our committee of student-volunteers.
