Flavour Compounds

In this exciting session, flavour chemistry specialist Sietze Wijma, who boasts an MSc in in Sensory Science, will be teaching us how to identify flavour compounds in white and red wines!

Over the course of this session, you will be given twelve samples of the same neutral wine. Aroma compounds will be added to ten of these samples to help you identify specific flavours.

Sietze will be travelling from the Netherlands to join us. His sessions are usually more than we are able to offer, so this is a session not to be missed!

We ask that you please aim to arrive 10-15 minutes before the session begins so that we can begin pouring immediately.

Please bring your own set of 6 glasses. ISO tasting glasses are available to buy here. We are offering a complimentary set of plastic glasses (usually £4.50) if you are joining us for the first time!
